As virtual care moves into new settings within the health care industry, it is important that clinicians know how to effectively identify when a patient can benefit from telehealth and how to translate in-person care to a virtual environment. To ensure a positive experience for the patient, the clinician will need to leverage a different skill set for effective assessments and interventions. The clinician will also need to feel comfortable in resolving technology issues and setting up a workspace conducive to HIPAA-compliant virtual visits. The goals of this course are to recognize when home health patients can benefit from a blended model of care with telehealth and to understand how to provide best-practice care when translating in-person care to virtual visits.
