As the COVID-19 pandemic spread across the United States, stay-at-home orders, limited social interactions, and the cancelation of many life events resulted in increased stress levels and a subsequent rise in mental health concerns for the general population. In addition, those Americans deemed essential workers, and healthcare workers who were regularly exposed to both the virus and the increasing trauma of the pandemic, experienced burnout, traumatic stress, and an increased risk for developing mental health conditions. Finally, those individuals who were diagnosed with COVID-19 were exposed to a variety of behavioral health consequences as a result of the virus, including grief, stigma, and the potential for future mental illness. This webinar will address the impact that the COVID-19 pandemic has had on social isolation and mental wellness for a variety of populations across the lifespan."
